Educational Adventures (EA) originated in the fall of 1996 when co-founders Michael D. Moore and W. Douglas Smith combined their expertise in self-defense, creating a personal safety curriculum.  This curriculum was taught to a variety of entities, most notably law enforcement.  Services were also provided for organizations, such as rape crisis centers.  During these seminar-structured events, the mothers in attendance frequently asked questions related to their children's safety.  

Intrigued, the co-founders began to examine the topic of children’s safety and noticed two primary weaknesses.  First, unintentional injury was the largest threat to the safety of children and lacked substantial public and media attention.  Second, of the few organizations addressing this topic, all lacked an effective means of engaging the child and empowering him/her to make better safety related decisions that would prevent injuries.  The mission then became to create an absolutely captivating product with the highest entertainment value since a disinterested child would remain an unsafe child. 

The co-founders created an animated show and the Danger Rangers® were born.  Educational Adventures has been fortunate to gather a dedicated group of entertainment, business, and medical industry leaders who have all contributed to create a highly entertaining and educational production.  From humble beginnings and inspired by the cause of child safety, the Danger Rangers are now enjoyed by millions of children and families both in America and abroad.
